There’s no dress code at C2; Jesus welcomes us as we are, and we will not do differently. You can expect to see folks in suits, t-shirts, heels & flip-flops, and everything in between! As you walk in the door, you’ll find a friendly smile and a handshake! Feel free to ask any of our team members wearing C2 shirts any questions you might have. If we don’t have an answer for you, we’ll help you find one!
After your children are checked in to our secure kids area, you can visit the Kingdom Builder Cafe in the main foyer and purchase beverages and/or donuts, which can be taken into the auditorium. We hope you will relax, experience powerful worship, and be challenged by a relevant & inspirational message. Make sure to swing by the Connection Center after service–we have a gift for new guests! While there you can also receive help with any questions you might have, find out more information, or drop off a prayer request.

If you’ve recently started attending C2 Church, we would like to invite you to join us for Launch Class! This is an opportunity to meet the team, learn more about the different ministries of C2 and ask any questions you might have. This is a 4-week commitment, but we will be able to answer any questions you may have about C2 while learning who we are, what we believe, and how we live out the Great Commission here at C2!
Christian Chapel (C2) Church opened its doors for the first time in 1969, at the Tiger Hotel in downtown Columbia. A year later, C2 moved to West Boulevard South where members and guests worshipped for the next seven years. After purchasing property on South Providence Road in 1976, C2 established its first building a year later, on the current property. Christian Chapel Academy (CCA), a school for kindergarten through eighth grade students, was established in 1985.
Pastor Jeremy Risner, and his wife Darci, have served as lead pastors since 2013. They joined C2 as youth pastors in 2009 after serving in youth ministry in Texas and Minnesota.
C2 Church is part of a family of churches called The Assemblies of God. We strive to be a contagious movement of passionate followers of Jesus, who live out the Great Commission and Great Commandment within arms reach of every heart and home in Mid-Missouri and around the world.
Today, hundreds of individuals call C2 Church their faith family. We’re excited that your story has crossed paths with ours – and we look forward to the story that God is continually writing.

Jeremy Risner
Lead PastorJeremy Risner - Lead Pastor
Jeremy has been on staff at C2 since fall of 2009 starting as youth paster and later transitioned to lead pastor in 2013. He has a heart for mid-Missouri, wanting to see families grow together in life-giving churches.
Ben Meiners
Associate PastorBen Meiners - Associate Pastor
Ben grew up here at C2. After going through C2 Youth, he went to El Salvador for a year of ministry and became C2’s youth pastor upon his return. Ben has since transitioned to an Associate Pastor role. He is passionate about discipleship and equipping people to minister in everyday life.
Ryan Gibbons
Youth Ministries PastorRyan Gibbons - Youth Ministries Pastor
Ryan grew up at C2 with his family. He is a Central Bible College (Evangel) graduate and has a history of youth ministry. He came back “home” to C2 as Youth Pastor in Fall 2021 with a passion to raise up the next-generation and equip them to reflect the light of Christ in their schools.
Jennifer Daack
Kids and Families PastorJennifer Daack - Kids & Family Pastor
Jennifer and Matt are the newest team members, but they have been involved in Children’s ministry for over 20 years. They have a heart for helping parents train up their kids. Their passion is for kids to fall in love with Jesus and learn they can trust Him for everything!

Community Outreach PastorMatt Copeland - Community Outreach Pastor
Pastor Matt has been on staff as Facilities Director since July 2015 and has since transitioned to Community Outreach Pastor with a passion to help C2 Church be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community.
Darci Risner
Connections PastorDarci Risner - Connections Pastor
Darci is the wife of Pastor Jeremy. She has a heart for hospitality and wants everyone that steps into C2 to feel like they belong and have a place here.
Megan Hollywood
Communication DirectorMegan Hollywood - Communication Director
Megan came to C2 as intern in fall of 2018 and became full time as Communication Director in fall of 2019. She has a heart for missions and learning what missionaries do to reach people right where they are.
Jenny Johnson
Business DirectorJenny Johnson - Business Director
Jenny began in the fall of 2019 as business director. She loves to serve and excels at helping improve the day-to-day functions of the church. On top of being a fantastic cook, Jenny is passionate about her family and is a joy to have on staff.
